The University of Salerno offers its own agreement scheme for PhD Joint Supervision Agreement.The template in Italian and English can be found in the forms at the bottom of the page.

Interested parties must submit the above model to the partner universities. If an alternative model is proposed, prior approval must be obtained from the Ufficio Formazione Post Laurea, which will verify its compatibility.

The Agreement must then be completed in its entirety and approved by the Doctoral Faculty Board and, subsequently, by the Department Council. In particular, it is important to establish at this stage whether the joint supervision will result in the award of a double degree or a joint degree.

The resolutions, together with the agreement, must be sent to the Ufficio Formazione Post Laurea, which will carry out the final checks and then send them to the Internationalisation Office for transmission to the Academic Senate for final approval.

Following approval of the documents by the Senate, the Internationalisation Office will obtain the signature of the Rector and, subsequently, the missing signatures of the representatives of the partner universities.

Once the process is complete, a copy of the agreement will be sent to the Ufficio Formazione Post Laurea for the necessary measures to be taken.
