Objectives
THE COURSE IS INTENDED TO SET OUT THE CRUCIAL MOMENTS OF THE EVOLUTION OF THE NINETEENTH CENTURY RUSSIAN LITERATURE IN RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER EUROPEAN LITERATURES. A STUDENT MUST ACQUIRE CRITICAL READING SKILLS OF THE PRINCIPAL AUTHORS OF THE MOST SIGNIFICANT LITERARY MOVEMENTS. PART OF THE LESSONS WILL BE DEDICATED TO THE INTRODUCTION OF TEXT CRITICISM.
AT THE END OF THE COURSE, THE STUDENT WILL ACQUIRE AN IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF RUSSIAN LITERATURE AND CULTURE IN THE EUROPEAN CONTEXT THAT WILL ALLOW HIM TO CONDUCT COMPARATIVE ANALYZES WITH EURO-AMERICAN LITERATURES.

A STUDENT MUST PASS EXAMS IN RUSSIAN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE FOR THE 1ST YEAR
Contents
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE AN INTERPRETATION OF THE WORKS OF MAJOR RUSSIAN WRITERS OF THE XIX CENTURY. THE STUDY OF THE HISTORY OF IDEAS WILL BE FOLLOWED BY THE STUDY OF POETICS AND FORMAL STRUCTURES OF LITERARY TEXTS

THE STUDENT MUST BE ABLE TO RESPOND TO THE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL CONTEXT, STYLISTIC AND STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS AND CULTURAL VALUES OF THE LITERARY TEXTS LISTED IN THE PROGRAM. THE EXAM ALSO INCLUDES THE READING IN THE ORIGINAL LANGUAGE AND THE TRANSLATION OF SELECTED TEXTS MENTIONED IN THE CORSE
