Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO INTRODUCE STUDENTS TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF GERMAN PHONETICS, PHONOLOGY AND MORPHOLOGY, ELEMENTARY GRAMMATICAL STRUCTURES AND TO PROVIDE THEM WITH THE NECESSARY TOOLS FOR ORAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
STUDENTS WILL :
- KNOW ABOUT THE BASICS OF PHONETICS, PHONOLOGY, PROSODY AND MORPHOLOGY OF THE GERMAN LANGUAGE;
- KNOW ABOUT ELEMENTARY GRAMMATICAL STRUCTURES;
- KNOW ABOUT THE NECESSARY TOOLS FOR ORAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION;
- ACQUIRE WRITTEN AND ORAL SKILLS AT AN A2 LEVEL OF THE COMMON EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK OF REFERENCE FOR LANGUAGES.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:
- UNDERSTAND VOCABULARY RELATED TO EVERYDAY TOPICS;
- UNDERSTAND SHORT AND SIMPLE TEXTS.

MAKING JUDGEMENTS
STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO TAKE NOTES AND WRITE SHORT MESSAGES ON TOPICS CONCERNING IMMEDIATE NEEDS.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE ON EVERYDAY TOPICS;

LEARNING SKILLS
STUDENTS WILL ACQUIRE:
- THE TOOLS FOR EXPANDING EVERYDAY VOCABULARY;
- THE ABILITY TO ORIENTATE THEMSELVES IN READING AND LISTENING TO THE GERMAN LANGUAGE.
