Objectives
THE COURSE HAS THE GOAL TO PROVIDE STUDENTS NEEDED BASIC CONCEPTS TO THE MANAGEMENT OF BUSINESS UNDER A SYSTEMS VIEW, AND ANALYSED IN THE LIGHT OF THE CURRENT ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL; ILLUSTRATE THE MAIN BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT MODELS AND MAIN TECHNICAL CALCULATION AND ANALYSIS OF COSTS. THE COURSE INTENDS TO DEEPEN IN PARTICULAR THE THEME OF MANAGEMENT AND THE ROLE OF COMPANY MANAGERS. TO THIS END, THE COURSE WILL INCLUDE THE USE OF A SYSTEMS APPROACH TO CORPORATE GOVERNANCE TO GET THE RIGHT VIEW OF THE NEW DYNAMICS (INCLUDING RELATIONAL ONES) THAT CHARACTERIZE ITS COMPETITIVE ACTION. THE MOST IMPORTANT COMPANY FUNCTIONS WILL BE ANALYZED TO HIGHLIGHT THEIR DIFFERENCES, PECULIARITIES AND EVOLUTION. THE PREVAILING ORGANIZATIONAL MODELS AND TOOLS AVAILABLE TO MANAGERS TODAY WILL BE STUDIED FOR ANALYSIS, BUSINESS MANAGEMENT, DECISION SUPPORT, INNOVATION MANAGEMENT. FINALLY, THE RECENT UPDATES IN TERMS OF SCM, TQM AND CRM WILL BE ADDRESSED. STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO APPLY MANAGEMENT KNOWLEDGE TO THE FIRMS IN THE MANUFACTURING, COMMERCIAL AND SERVICES INDUSTRIES AND TO NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.
