Hosted for the first time at the University of Salerno
The Event
On 18 and 19 June 2026, the University of Salerno will host the international conference 'Dictionaries and Learning in the 21st Century', promoted for its second edition by the European Association of MetaLexicography (METALEX). The event will bring together researchers, teachers and professionals in the field of lexicography to discuss the challenges and prospects for dictionaries in the digital age. The METALEX network - of which the University is also a member with the Department of Political and Social Studies/DISPS - contact person: Mrs Mariadomenica Lo Nostro ‒ and DIPSUM ‒ contact persons Mr Rosario Pellegrino ‒ is a central hub for all international research in the field of metalexicography, focusing on the description of languages and their linguistic and cultural representations in lexicographical objects.
Call for Proposals
The Call for Proposals on the themes of this edition is now open. The deadline for submitting proposals is 28 February 2026. Proposals, including a 300-500 word abstract in French and bibliographical references, should be sent to the following address: reseaumetalex@gmail.com
