The Department of Economics and Statistics (DISES) promotes and coordinates research and teaching activities in the broad areas of Economics, Statistics/Mathematics and Law.

In these areas, the Department pursues excellence in its research activities, and offers learning opportunities that provide the knowledge needed to enter the labour market and to carry out quantitative analysis, to solve problems and to work cooperatively.

The presence of different interests and competences permits the members of the Department to operate in a multidisciplinary setting shaped by international research activities and collaboration with the most dynamic and efficient firms at local level.

In terms of teaching, DISES offers three-year BA degrees, two-year Masters degrees, professional post-graduate qualifications and PhDs. There is also the option of attending an international three-year BA in Tourism, in cooperation with the University of Paris West Nanterre La Défense.
