Research topics

The research focuses on the mechanics of deformable solids, classical thermodynamics, heat conduction and heat transfer, and to a lesser degree on fluid mechanics. In particular we study problems of existence, uniqueness, space and time behavior, continuous dependence, structural stability, variational and reciprocity principles, fundamental solutions, propagation of plane, surface and acceleration waves for classic materials and materials with microstructure, porous materials, viscoelastic materials, with assumptions of strong ellipticity, with total or partial anisotropy hypotheses, and backward in time.
