MUSA: MULTI-MATERIAL STRUCTURES FOR AERONAUTICS
The aim of this project is the achieve a better understanding of the in-service behavor of multimaterial lightweight structures by numerical simulation and experimental analysisThe following schedule for the activities to be performed is considered at this stage:1.Definition of the simulation plan and implementation of micro-scale, meso-scale and macro-scale simulation models of the single material components and hybrid assembly, including manufacturing effects;2.Experimental validation of the numerical outcomes on single materials components;3.Analysis of the most promising joining technologies; 4.Definition of an integrated procedure to simulate thermo-mechanical phenomena occurring in hybrid multi-material structures.
