The mission of the Center (a ten-year duration) is to provide opportunities of research, advising and guidance and to disseminate information and knowledge in health sector; the activities expecially focuses on Pharmaceutical Technology, Socioeconomics and Pharmaceutical Legislation, Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Pharmacoeconomics.

Pharmacovigilance, Pharmacoeconomics and HTA and all the pharmaceutical technologies, in an effective multidisciplinary co-creation context, define a field of knowledge that may integrate the variety of perspectives (technical, technological, scientific, social, ethical, economic, business, etc.) of institutions, public and private health care organizations, citizens and stakeholders involved in the health care processes.

The Interdepartmental (Dept of Pharmacy, Dept of Medicine and Surgery, Dept of Management & Business) Center formula represents an appropriate structural and organizational solution to implement interdisciplinary network. In particular, scholars and experts of the University of Salerno are encouraged to foster scientific debate at national and international level consistently with national and EU guidelines.

The primary interest of the Center refers to health issues such as acquisition and processing of data on the effectiveness, safety, accessibility, costs of medicines, medical devices, diagnostics and therapeutic treatments.
