Research | Computational Biology laboratory

In the computational biology laboratory, bioinformatics and computational simulations are carried out mainly on protein systems, ranging from sequence and structure analysis, protein structure modeling, docking investigations on protein-ligand systems, and molecular dynamics simulations. The laboratory provides laptop PCs with two different operating systems (Linux and Windows) and hosts a server with several programs installed for carrying out the above activities. In addition, it is possible to have access, through arrangements made by the laboratory responsible, to extended computing systems (clusters and HPC resources) for carrying out calculations requiring extensive computational resources.
