Activities
Our Nuclear Magnetic Resonance laboratory is equipped with instrumentation that allows us to guarantee most of the applications of this technique in the field of research.
The Bruker 400 MHz instrument, equipped with SampleCase, is used for routine experiments and therefore is mainly used to validate the structure of small molecules, being equipped with a BBFO probe. It is possible to observe nuclei important for drug discovery such as 19F and 31P.
The Oxford 500 MHz instrument is an instrument used with a BBI probe for routine experiments but is alternatively used with an HRMAS probe to conduct experiments on both plant-based and polymer-based semi-solid samples for drug discovery applications. The HRMAS probe is also used to study pharmaceutical formulations of various compositions, which include various components such as polymers, micellar systems, gels, etc.
The Bruker 600 MHz instrument is equipped with a TXI (triple resonance) probe that allows to study the three-dimensional structure and dynamic properties of peptides and proteins labeled at 13C and 15N; therefore, it is mainly used for conformational analyses of proteins and peptides for protein-ligand interaction studies. Furthermore, since the instrument is equipped with a SampleJet, it is widely used to conduct metabolomics experiments on biofluids, cell extracts, tissue and plant extracts.

Bruker Avance II 500

- 5 mm BBI (1H-BB/2H) probe with Z-gradient (operating temperature -120/120°C)
- 4 mm HRMAS 1H/2H/13C MAS-GRD probe
- Windows 7 Professional Workstation running TopSpin 3.2
Bruker Avance 600
Features:
- Spectrometer Bruker Avance 600
- Magnet Bruker Ascend™ 600 MHz
- 5 mm TXI (1H/1D-13C-15N) probe with Z-gradient (operating temperature -150/150°C)
- SampleJet with 5 rack with 96 thermostated positions and 99 external positions for 5 and 3 mm diameter tubes
- Windows 7 Professional Workstation running TopSpin 3.2
