THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH AN ENDOWMENT OF COMPETENCES RELEVANT IN GLOBAL CONTEXT. SPECIFICALLY, THE STUDENT WILL ACQUIRE THE FOLLOWING KNOWLEDGE: -HISTORICAL EVOLUTION OF RESEARCH IN GLOBAL MANAGEMENT -DEEPER KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK RELATED TO THE ANALYSIS OF VARIABLES THAT HAVE AN IMPACT ON INDIVIDUAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR -DEEPER KNOWLEDGE ABOUT HOW TO MANAGE GLOBAL TEAMS (INNOVATIVE, VIRTUAL, FACE TO FACE). THE STUDENT, AT THE END OF THE COURSE, WILL ACQUIRE THE SKILLS NEEDED TO UNDERSTAND AND MANAGE THE PHASES, DECISION MAKING PROCESSES, ISSUES AND TOOLS CHARACTERIZING THE MANAGEMENT IN THE GLOBAL CONTEXT. THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO TAKE PART IN INTERNATIONAL, MULTICULTURAL, TRADITIONAL, INNOVATIVE TEAMS IN EFFECTIVE WAY THANKS TO THE ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN RESEARCH ON GLOBAL MANAGEMENT WITH THE CHANCE TO ELABORATE THE RELATED RESULTS BY THEMSELVES. |

THE COURSE IS DIVIDED INTO THREE PARTS. THE FIRST PART LAYS THE FOUNDATIONS OF GLOBAL MANAGEMENT (5 HOURS). THE SECOND PART IS DEVOTED TO THE STUDY OF THE GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE APPLIED TO THE FOLLOWING TOPICS: STAKEHOLDER NEEDS ANALYSIS; VALUE CREATION; SUSTAINABILITY; LEADERSHIP; COLLABORATIVE GOVERNANCE: NETWORKS, CO-PRODUCTION & USER INNOVATION WITH A SPECIAL FOCUS ON DIGITAL PLATFORM. IT WILL ALSO GIVE ATTENTION TO THE SKILLS NEEDED TO PARTICIPATE AND LEAD GLOBAL INNOVATIVE, VIRTUAL AND FACE-TO-FACE TEAMS (15 HOURS). THE THIRD PART FOCUSES ON THE GLOBAL MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP CASE STUDIES (10 HOURS). |

LECTURES (18 HOURS), SEMINARS (7 HOURS), STUDY GROUPS DEVOTED TO EXERCISES AND PROJECT WORK (5 HOURS). STUDENTS WILL ALSO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN ROLE GAMES WITH THE AIM TO EVALUATE THEIR ABILITY TO MANAGE TRADUTIONAL AND/OR INNOVTIVE GLOBAL TEAM. ATTENDANCE TO LESSONS IS NOT MANDATORY BUT STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. THE COURSE WILL BE TAUGHT IN ENGLISH. |

THE LEARNING ASSESSMENT WILL BE CARRIED OUT THROUGH A FINAL ORAL EXAM DEVOTED TO EVALUATE THE THEORIETICAL KNOWLEDGE, THE AUTONOMY OF ANALYSIS AND JUDGMENT AS WELL AS THE LEARNER'S EXPRESSION SKILLS. AT LEAST TWO QUESTIONS WILL BE FORMULATED TO ASSESS THE ABILITY TO IDENTIFY THE MOST APPROPRIATE METHODS OF ANALYSIS OF THE TOPICS COVERED, THE ABILITY TO EXPOSE THE OBJECTIVES IN A CLEAR AND SUMMARY WAY AS WELL AS THE ABILITY TO DEVELOP THE TOPICS COVERED EVEN USING DIFFERENT MATERIALS FROM THOSE PROPOSED. THE EVALUATION WILL BE EXPRESSED IN THIRTIETHS. THE FINAL EVALUATION IS OBTAINED AS THE AVERAGE OF THE FOLLOWING PARTIAL EVALUATIONS. -ORAL EXAMINATION (40%) -PROJECT WORK (60%) THE MINIMUM LEVEL OF EVALUATION (18) IS ASSIGNED WHEN THE STUDENT HAS A FRAGMENTED KNOWLEDGE OF THE THEORETICAL CONTENTS AND SHOWS A LIMITED ABILITY TO USE THEM IN THE CONTEXT OF THE STUDY. THE MAXIMUM LEVEL (30) IS ASSIGNED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES A COMPLETE AND IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF THE METHODOLOGIES AND TOOLS AND HAS A CONSIDERABLE ABILITY TO USE THEM IN THE CONTEXT OF STUDY. PRAISE IS GIVEN WHEN THE CANDIDATE DEMONSTRATES SIGNIFICANT MASTERY OF METHODOLOGIES AND TOOLS AND SHOWS CONSIDERABLE OWNERSHIP OF LANGUAGE AND AUTONOMOUS PROCESSING SKILLS EVEN IN CONTEXTS DIFFERENT FROM THOSE PROPOSED BY THE TEACHER. THE MATERIAL FOR THE EXAM IS BASED ON THE LITERATURE INDICATED IN THE PROGRAM, TEACHING MATERIAL USED IN CLASS, CASES AND PRESENTATIONS. |
