Obiettivi
the course aims to provide an in-depth understanding of advanced research methodologies currently applied in state-of-the-art industrial contexts. Students will develop skills to propose and implement innovative research projects, using techniques to solve complex problems typical of industry. The course promotes collaboration between academia and industry to facilitate innovation.
Prerequisiti
the activity requires the previous knowledge of fundamentals of economics and business organization. It is assumed that the student is able to understand and describe the main concepts of economics and business.
Contenuti
Nature and sources of innovation in industries and sectoral systems (Lectures: 3 hours)
Learning, capabilities, management and performance of the innovative enterprise (Lectures: 4 hours)
Public policy for innovation and industrial change (Lectures: 4 hours)
Creating and capturing value from innovation, the economics of patent protection (Lectures: 4 hours)
Development of an innovation pitch (Exercises: 3 hours)
Metodi Didattici
the course includes 15 hours of lectures and testimonials and 3 hours of practical exercises. The lectures are aimed at acquiring knowledge on the theoretical and practical aspects illustrated and will see the participation of important representatives of companies, industries and institutions dealing with innovation.

Verifica dell'apprendimento
The exam consists in the drafting of a project work aimed at acquiring the knowledge and application skills learned in the classroom. Project work: the group project represents 100% of the final grade and requires groups of 3-5 students to write one of the course topics. The project aims to verify the students' ability to analyze the main problems relating to one of the course topics, apply the appropriate methodology and work in a group. Although the project topic is open, it must be related to the course topics.
