Theater
The Theater, located in the same complex as the Great Hall, was designed by Filippo Alison. Conceived as a multifunctional facility, it has a capacity of approximately 300 seats, a fully equipped stage, a foyer, and dressing rooms for artists.
The University Theater was started in 2005 and has since then hosted theater seasons, music events, workshops, exhibitions, meetings and lecture-shows which have contributed to a more varied education for students, and promoted fruitful forms of interdisciplinarity and experimentation within research and teaching. The theater plays a crucial role in UNISARTE, a major center where various visual languages (cinema, art, theatre, new media) meet new technologies and businesses, with the University developing new forms of knowledge and innovative professions. In this light, collaborations and exchanges are promoted with organizations, institutions and foundations. The Theater, in addition to following its own projects, works in two directions: conducting international, advanced research, and giving voice to experimentation. Special attention is paid to young Campania- based theater companies whose work is particularly significant and innovative. The University is a founding partner, along with the Salerno City Council and the “Assoli” Association, of the “Fondazione Salerno Contemporanea - Teatro d’innovazione” whose purpose is to promote research and experimentation in the fields of arts and entertainment.

Musical Activities
Salerno University promotes many musical events featuring international musicians along with students, teachers, and members of the administrative staff. The music associations on Campus are “Musicateneo” and “Seventh Degree”.
Musicateneo
Musicateneo brings together numerous music bands, involving those who study and work on Campus. In the last few years, it has held many concerts including some abroad, and has produced 4 CDs, 1 CD / CDV and 1 DVD. In 2012, the Association gave birth to the "MusicateneoLibri" series, with the release of a volume plus a CD entitled "Eduardo Rovira. The ultraavant-garde on tango". The Association also issues the Musicateneo Magazine, and sends newsletters to its members. These include:
- Camerata Strumentale;
- Coro Pop;
- Musicateneo Percussion Ensemble;
- Orchestra Jazz;
- Blues Brothers Reloaded;
- Musicateneo Funky System;
- 30in Tango;
- Musicateneo Street Parade.
The many musical and dancing events include:
- courses in jazz improvisation;
- music courses, seminars and masterclasses;
- courses on Argentine tango, flamenco and folk dances;
- Live at Fisciano Village, a festival of university bands open to all music genres;
- Musicampus, an international festival of music bands.

Seventh Degree
Established in 2005, Seventh Degree operates in partnership with local authorities and many cultural institutions of the area, and aims at promoting musical culture. Since 2000, the Association has supervised the performances of the University Choir "Ensemble Vocale Principe Sanseverino". The Choir has taken part in numerous cultural exchanges and concerts in many Italian and European universities, and has contributed to spread a vocal and instrumental
repertoire ranging from the Middle Ages to the late Baroque. Seventh Degree has also organized, within the city and the province of Salerno, music events such as “Arti di Maggio”, “Incontri di Ateneo”, “Percorsi di Analisi”, the “MICU – Meeting Internazionale dei Cori Universitari”, the “Salerno Arechi Festival 2010” and “Sintonie 11”.
